Keep Moving - Richard Barbee

I have learned a few things in my 40 years.  One of the most basic lessons I have picked up is "Keep Moving".

Keep Moving Physically - It burns calories, it raises the heart rate, it helps you meet people and make connections, it gets things done.

Keep Moving Mentally - Keep learning, asking questions, reading, checking current events, reviewing daily news, spending time with smart people.  It keeps you interesting, sharp, and valuable to clients.

Keep Moving Emotionally - Refuse to accept negative, draining relationships.  Engage others in meaningful ways.  Develop a real openness with your own feelings.  Grow in your ability to manage your own impulses.  Know stability internally.  It keeps you consistent, able to relate, safe for others.

Keep Moving Spiritually - I am not ashamed of my faith in Jesus Christ, and I believe it is relevant for everybody.  If you are not a Christian, spirituality can take many forms.  Remaining open to nature, remembering the awe-inspiring moments of your life, renewing the humanity in your life, and more are ways to feed the soul.  Staying connected to other healthy people nourishes the spirit.  For Christians, staying in and aroung the Bible and God's healthy children is a sure way to build up.

When disouragement or even depression loom, keep moving.  When tears are your only solace, keep moving.  When happiness and success are yours, keep moving.  When fear paralyzes you, keep moving.

If you cannot move your body, move your mind.  If you cannot change your emotions, move your body.  If you cannot think straight due to stress, keep moving.

There is a great value in activity.  Keep Moving!

A guest pastor at my church used "Move Forward".  I like Keep Moving too.
